Windoff 5.0 is a fantastic freeware program will make it possible to indicate when you want your computer and monitor shut down, closing each program, to a maximum limit of 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds ( this means 4 days and 4 hours). For example: you can leave your computer Internet-connected from Friday at 6 pm , and indicate that it will shut down on Sunday.
You don´t have to stay at home, neither you have to be awake on nightime waiting fo your computer finish its tasks or Internet-downloading, in the same way, if you have a TV card, program WindOFF for the hours you want to watch TV from your bed without worry about if you get slept (the computer will shut down by itself).

Aswell you don´t be late for dates because WindOFF will notify
you with a sound alarm which you can program as the same way
that you program for shut down.

Don´t worry about the state of your computer after shut down
because WindOFF can capture diferents screens in JPG format
(only 130 Kb each full screen) along the time programed, so you
can see what was happend when you restart your computer..

Functions

Clicking in 'COUNTER MODE' you´ll change between 'SYSTEMTIME' and 'PROGRAM COUNTER'.
'SYSTEMTIME': Select the time that you want your computer shut down taking as reference the time of your computer.
'PROGRAM COUNTER': counter mode. Take as reference a counter from 00:00:00 to select programed time.(Max 99h59m59s). At the 'clock' to the right you can select the time (use the correspondent buttons).
At the 'clock' to the left you´ll see the counter progress.
Aswell under the left 'clock' you´ll see a progress bar indicating the count state.

Buttons

ISTART BUTTON: To start the count press START BUTTON. In this moment, the selection time buttons will turn locked.To unlock them, first you have to cancel the count.

STOP BUTTON: it will temporally pause the count. In PROGRAM COUNTER mode, the count will stop. If youwant to resume, press START BUTTON. For SYSTEM TIME, the selection time buttons will unlock automatically and allow you change the time.

Options

To open out the OPTION MENU, click on the button (with an arrow) at the bottom of the program. Here youŽll be able to choose between diffent options that WindOFF carry out when the counter finish or while is running.
At the left side , youŽll see a bluish display with addictional information like:
'Disk Space': it show you the HD drive spacewhere the program is running.(In kbs)
'Free Space': it show you the Hard Disk free space.(In kbs)
'Shut Down': show if 'shut down' is selected or not.
'Capture': if itŽs selected, WindOFF will capture the screen when counter finish .
'Alarm': at counter finish, will sound the alarm.

You can enabled or disabled these options (except 'Disk Space' and 'Free Space') clicking each icon on the bluedish.

'SHUT DOWN COMPUTER': if the option is 'ON' selected, when the counter finish, WindOFF will close all programs and will shut down automatically the CPU and monitor.

'SOUND ALARM': it will sound an alarm for 10 minutes, you can silence it by clicking STOP BUTTON or RESET BUTTON. If you donŽt like that sound, you can change it by renaming other sound file by 'alarm.wav'.(it have to be in the same folder than the WindOFF program is placed).

'SCREEN CAPTURE': will capture an entirelly screen whencounter finish.

'HIDE WINDOFF WHEN...': this option hide the program when WindOFF is going to capture.

'CAPTURE EVERY...': it will capture each 'X' miuites selected. All screen captures will save as 'JPG' (taking only 130 per entirelly screen captured) in the same folder than the WindOFF program is placed. The file will be named like: 'WindOFF ScreenCAP.... +time+date of capture.JPG 'a.

WindOFF can be used, distributed and published freely.
